I haven't even received my first unemployment check — it's being held up because I freelance and thus have some unconventional income streams, which the fine folks at the
Idaho Department of Labor feel warrant further questioning — and already I'm fed up with the process.
I'll vent at length later, but I want to hear from you first. What are you experiencing — confusing instructions, incompatible computers, conflicting information, general malaise? Share your thoughts in the comments section of this post.
Happy Monday. Keep your head up.
You're lucky. New York State totally screwed me. We can't get any unemployment if we're "engaged in activities that bring or could bring income." They found out about my blog and screwed me.
ReplyDeleteAs you probably know, it's darn hard to make money off a blog. It pissed me off mightily.
That sucks. I was worried about that myself until I found out that in Idaho you can work freelance or part-time and still collect benefits.
ReplyDeleteWhat's shitty about states like New York is that it actually discourages people from trying to work until they find full-time employment.
